Thailand: Establishment of Industrial Standard TIS 902-2(5) on Floodlights

FEBRUARY 2021 - ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS

On 25 January 2021, the Thai Ministry of Industry issued Industrial Standard TIS 902 Part 2(5) - 2563 on floodlights, in accordance with the Industrial Product Standards Act.

The applicable floodlights are those for use with electrical light sources on supply voltages up to 1000V. The standard sets out the scope, definitions, marking and protection against electric shock, durability, testing, resistance to heat/moisture/dust, electrical/thermal resistance and etc.

The announcement is going to enter into force 120 days after its publication in the Government Gazette, on 25 May 2021¹ .
